JoSAA Eligibility Criteria: The collaboration of The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB ) and the Joint Admission Board ( JAB ) who were conducting the JEE counselling on their own terms and levels are together organised as JoSSA that is the Joint seat allocation authority in the year 2018. Also, there is a great news ahead for the engineering candidates that now counselling will be done online. The JoSSA held it’s first meeting on 2nd May 2015. The jab was represented by the IIT and ISM Dhanbad.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority– JoSAA helps to provide a platform where students from all woven the country come up and apply in the different engineering colleges. The engineering aspirants might have been are of the IIT, NIT, IIM, ISM and GFTIs – the dream of every engineering student. There are many JoSAA engineering colleges in the country but these are the best and they opt only the creamy layer of the students.
What Was The Reason Behind The Collaboration?
There is a reason for collaboration for the authorities that many of students try to hold their seats best on the different engineering colleges. And due to which many of the seats at the end are vacant. This causes a lot of trouble for the ones who could have had secured a seat for themselves but failed because of the confusion. So to avoid this JoSSA was maintained.
In order to rescue kids from the collaboration, JoSSA was made. Where now only through single registration a candidate can apply in numerous and different colleges.
The process of JoSAA Registration will start in June 2018. On July 2018, The first round of allotment of seat will be carried out. Also, only the ones who have qualified JEE main 2018 and JEE advanced 2018 can apply for the registration.
JoSAA 2018 Eligibility Criteria
It is mandatory to follow the eligibility criteria. The JoSSA 2018 eligibility criteria are:
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 1
To apply for the academic programs at IIT and ISM, apart from any other preparatory course candidates should quality JEE advanced. And also have performed well in senior secondary high school.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2
For the many other preparatory courses, ISM and IITs, candidates should have qualified JEE (advanced), in the year 2018 and also performed well in class.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 3
It is necessary for the candidate to secure a rank in JEE 2018 (Main) paper 1 (B.Tech/B.A ) and must have a total aggregate of 45% marks and the candidates must obtain good marks I a class 12th examination (general ) and 40% in (OBC-NCL, SC, ST). The marks obtained will be calculated for aggregate marks of the following subjects
- Any language
One of these from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Technical Vocational Subject) any other fifth subject.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 4
A rank in JEE 2018 (Main) paper 2 (B.Tech/B.Arch.) is must and the student should have secure a good grade in +2 stream. Also 50% aggregate marks should be obtained by the candidate in all the five subjects including math.
